Statutory bonus under the Payment of Bonus Act — eligibility, the calculation ceiling, and the 8.33%–20% range.
Indicative. An employee earning up to ₹21,000 a month is eligible. Bonus is computed on wages capped at ₹7,000 per month or the applicable minimum wage, whichever is higher. The rate ranges from 8.33% (minimum) to 20% (maximum) of such wages, payable within 8 months of year-end. Confirm the minimum wage used for the ceiling.
